THE COMPENSATION OFFICE

The Compensation Office was established to assist CHRs
in their application for CHR Trust Settlement compensation by:

Processing all applications for compensation
Assisting Community Health Representatives (CHRs)
in completing their application and consent forms
Identifying information needed for CHRs to support their
claim for compensation
Acting as a liaison between the CHR and government
agencies for salary information

The role of the CHR Settlement Trustees is to:
Administer the Trust fund in trust on the terms and conditions
provided for the Trust Agreement;
Retain services of NIICHRO to assist them in administering
the Trust Fund;
Employ as claim administrators, persons to provide expertise
in the area of finance, statistics and information technology;
Employ, pay and act upon the opinion, advice or on information
obtained from experts and professional persons;
Make distributions from the CHR Trust Settlement only if:
supporting documents have been collected, collated and verified;
a distribution model has been formulated; and on the first
distribution to a Beneficiary, in accordance with the Trust
Agreement, Release forms are signed in favor of the Trustees
and the Settlor and in favor of Her Majesty;
Determine if distribution is from income of the Trust Fund or
from the capital or a combination of both, providing that all
Beneficiaries are treated equitably;
Determine procedures for reconsideration;
Discretion to Accept any claim they receive after 36 months from the
effective date of the Trust Agreement, and;
Hold, invest and reinvest the Trust Fund as outlined in the
Trust Agreement.
